What is this class all about?
If you are looking to make the transition from a video camera to a DSLR camera, let Michael Sato from Satostudios give you a jump start on camera operation, lenses, stabilization and work flow. Learn how to use your Canon 7d,5d, 550d, 1dmkiv to fit your video needs. Weather you are a current film maker, photographer or just starting out he will help you become an expert to fit your projects.
Michael offers 4 & 6-hour workshops plus am intensive 2-day workshop.
What’s in the 4 hour class?
In Michael’s 4 hour class, you will begin learning the basics of your camera:
1. How to properly expose your shot (iso,aperture,shutter speed)
2. Choosing the right lenses for the right situations.
3. Stabilizing units (sliders, jibs, glidecams, tripods, monopods, hand-held mounts)
4. Audio (everything from onboard recording to standalone units)
5. Post Production (tutorial on how to edit your footage in FCP)
6-Hour class includes everything in the 4-hour workshop plus hands-on training with a varoety of tools, as well as, editing an actual clip.
In the 2-day workshop, you will receive instruction on everything included in the 4 & 6-hour workshops. In addition, you will have the opportunity to shoot in mock settings, i.e., weddings or any other situation important to your hobby or work.
Location: We are based in Sacramento, CA, however, we do offer on-location training.
